Etioca presented Miner, the taxi of the future

On 29 September Etioca Holding, an international company based in Gibraltar, unveiled in the Superstudio Più spaces in Milan the first prototype of electric taxi, “Miner”, designed and built in the Coggiola workshops, the historic Turin body shop recently acquired by the Holding , which has thus become the holder of the WMI (Worldwide Manufacturers Identifier) license.

A business model based on some key elements was also presented: being holders of the vehicle manufacturers license, creating an ecosystem that represents an integrated and autonomous project development model, acquiring shares of qualified partners and generating economic growth.

“Miner” is a revolutionary multiservice electric taxi, with a futuristic design aimed at interpreting sustainable mobility processes and is aimed at a new generation of taxi driver entrepreneurs who no longer have to buy the car but get it in use from Etioca. In fact, drivers can use the vehicle and all the services at € 0.99 cents / km, the average European cost per km.

The user is constantly connected to the dedicated Etioca app, which allows passengers to book short and long-haul trips. Through the app, users are informed about bookings. This is an important tool for taxi drivers to focus on their work; Etioca drivers, with the revenues from races, on-board services and advertising panels, can increase their turnover.

In fact, Etioca taxis are equipped with a media channel: integrated LED screens project ADV and institutional campaigns or public service messages for citizens.

The Etioca business model was conceived in 2015 by its Israeli founder and current CEO Mark Ishakov and is a unique ecosystem of vehicles equipped with a full range of services that create cash flow to support the evolution of electric mobility.

Exceptional designers such as Giorgetto Giugiaro and Fabrizio Giugiaro are at the brand’s disposal to offer their know-now and their expertise in the development of this new mobility architecture. The project is to create an R&D center capable of developing the design until it goes into production.

The first 10,000 Etioca Taxis will be in circulation by 2024. Annual production in 2025 will be 45,000 units and will reach 100,000 units per year in 2027 with an initial investment of $ 400 million to reach $ 1.2 billion over the next three years.
