Missionline - The taxi revolution
The taxi revolution starts from Milan: Etioca
The Etioca electric taxi debuted yesterday in Milan. This is an unprecedented innovation for the sector. An electric car, connected and shared, on which not only the Milanese could sit, being a taxi that we will soon see in various European cities.
Etioca taxi, you can’t buy it
As for the Italian roads, Milan is in pole position. A foreign car, with an international vocation but a lot of national technique, from the Piedmontese Coggiola workshops. This car, which is proposed as a new multiservice electric taxi, is born on a modular platform, typical of BEVs.
In practice it can assume various configurations, in production, with few corrections. For now we are talking about the passenger transport service, thanks to the large space and seven seats, with access and space dedicated to the disabled.
Etioca offers many digital services on board for travelers and sponsorships for taxi drivers. Taxi drivers who, from 2024, will not have to buy it if they want it, but will also be able to share it. The manufacturer’s ambitions are not just: to reach 100,000 cars produced per year, five years from now.
Etioca pay per use
The innovative format of Etioca Taxi Miner is in professional pay-per-use, allowed instead of the classic form of purchase. Then add up the bonus advantages for those who take advantage of the taxi by conveying advertising promotion on their digital panels.
The representatives of the House stated that with a four-year contract, an average price to have and use Etioca would be 0.99 euros / km, vehicle and services included.
Less initial charges for drivers therefore, with the company taking care of everything, including maintenance and battery charging. In addition to taxis, the company also aims to place work vehicles, shuttles, emergency and safety vehicles on the market.
