Top Gear - This is the Etioca Miner, the electric taxi that could arrive in Spain in 2024
A small company is developing this vehicle, which could offer various possibilities for transporting people.
The search for new forms of mobility gives rise to the most striking vehicles and this is one of the latest examples, with this vehicle with seven seats that is capable of offering a wide range of possibilities. This is the Etioca Milner, an electric taxi that could arrive in Spain in 2024.
The company responsible for its creation has the objective of achieving more innovative and environmentally friendly mobility solutions. In this way, they have just released this vehicle, which is still in the testing phase, but which promises great things. In principle, it is focused as a taxi, but its use as an ambulance would also be possible.
The Milner is manufactured on the “Anna” modular platform and has dimensions of 4.95 meters long, 1.95 meters wide and 2.01 meters high. In addition, it offers a wheelbase of 3.5 meters and the batteries are in the ground, as in most electric cars, which guarantees a really wide interior space.
In this way, the interior of this taxi has seven modular seats, as well as a space for people with reduced mobility. Likewise, the driver’s area is isolated from that of the occupants, which guarantees safety. In this part you can see a minimalist driving position, with screens that provide all the information, but the important thing is behind.
In the passenger area, the Etioca Milner can have the usual elements such as smartphone chargers, but also services such as a minibar or a small shop. In short, the possibilities are almost endless, which makes this a very versatile vehicle for passengers.
However, for the drivers of this model there are also noteworthy details, since the mechanics have interesting characteristics. This vehicle has an electric motor of 163 CV of power, which allows it to reach a maximum speed of 150 km/h, with a weight of 2 tons. In addition, its 100 kWh batteries offer up to 350 km of autonomy.

Of course, that is not all, since the Milner has been designed so that the batteries can be exchanged quickly in those stations designated for it. In this way, its use can be much more comfortable, since more kilometers could be traveled throughout the day.
At the moment, this is just a project in development, but it has already been released in Barcelona. According to the company, they already have 90,000 pre-reservations in different countries and are negotiating with an Italian partner to use their facilities for manufacturing. This is how they intend to achieve their goal: to have 10,000 units in 2024 and 100,000 in 2027.
