Veomotor - ETIOCA presents its revolutionary electric taxi in barcelona

ETIOCA holding, an international company based in Gibraltar, has visited Barcelona for the second stop of the ‘ETIOCA ROAD SHOW - 2023 WORLD TOUR’.

The functional prototype “Miner”, designed and manufactured in Turin (Italy), visited the busy parking lot of the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airport on Saturday and Sunday, in what was its first outing on the road in Spain. Those in charge of presenting the peculiarities of the project to the taxi drivers present were Mark Ishakov, an Israeli businessman and inventor, who has founded and developed ETIOCA in recent years, and the CEO of the company, Roberto Fiorello, who valued the ETIOCA ecosystem, based on a technology and platform that offers innovative solutions and services for alternative and sustainable mobility.
Etioca Taxi “Miner”, the first project of the ETIOCA ecosystem, comes after five years of analyzing the needs of the taxi sector and urban mobility trends. It is a vehicle designed for taxi drivers and transferred for their use, without the need for advance payments, and with daily electrical charging (battery exchange), daily vehicle washing, insurance, and ordinary and extraordinary maintenance. ETIOCA “MINER” is aimed at a new generation of business-taxi drivers who are no longer obliged to buy a car, but can have it for their use thanks to ETIOCA.

The “ETIOCA ROAD SHOW – 2023 WORLD TOUR” stop in Barcelona has been a good opportunity to hold meetings with taxi drivers and representatives of their associations. “It was a constructive debate” – declares Mark Ishakov, founder of ETIOCA Holding – “that has allowed us to enrich our knowledge of the world of the taxi to continue the evolution of the “Miner” from prototype to vehicle ready for production. This Road Show allows the ETIOCA board of directors and designers to get closer to taxi drivers and learn about their expectations and needs for a high-performance vehicle”.

During the coming days and weeks, numerous meetings will be organized both with the representatives of the Spanish institutions and the next cities through which the “ETIOCA ROAD SHOW - 2023 WORLD TOUR” will pass with the aim of deepening the knowledge of the ETOCA ecosystem, an innovative business model that moves the gears of six integrated and independent sectors: DESIGN, INDUSTRIAL POLE, SERVICES, USER APP, FINTECH AND MEDIA, representing a solid foundation on which the strategic plan that creates economic and financial value is articulated.
“ETIOCA ROAD SHOW – 2023 WORLD TOUR” is also the occasion to present a new generation of service vehicles built on “Anna”, the platform that is based on a modular architecture from which Miner has been developed, and that allows different vehicle configurations, not only taxis, but also work vehicles (last mile delivery), ambulances, emergency vehicles, security and defense vehicles, with the aim of making all forms of road transport sustainable.

During the meetings with the taxi drivers, many fundamental points of analysis arose, such as the safety of drivers and passengers, the possibility of recharging by exchanging batteries or autonomy (350 km autonomy). The taxi drivers present in the El Prat airport car park also met with the ETIOCA board of directors to discuss the economic aspects and the rates included in the different use packages, among which is the rate of 0.36 cents per kilometer for the use of the transferred vehicle in use, to more extensive packages that include additional services, such as battery change, daily vehicle washing, insurance, maintenance and replacement of the vehicle in case of breakdown.
Currently, taxi drivers have the possibility of filling out a pre-reservation form, which is available on the website www.etioca.com, where they can register with a payment of 100 euros. This amount makes it possible to manage the feasibility of the order and is returned to future drivers on the ETIOCA debit card the same day the vehicle is delivered, starting in 2024.
Taxi drivers who make the pre-reservation will be registered in the ETIOCA application, which will reduce customer waiting times through geolocation and enter the network of users of the ETIOCA application, who will be able to use the “ETIOCA ECO” cryptocurrency (1 ECO equals 1 km traveled). Through this integrated system, each taxi driver will have the opportunity to receive a cash return as a reward for having contributed to “mining” each new ETIOCA digital currency. The ETIOCA Fintech and Media system allows the taxi driver to increase their current billing by 20%.

In the coming weeks, the “ETIOCA ROAD SHOW - 2023 WORLD TOUR” will continue in Spain to meet with taxi drivers from Valencia, Madrid, Marbella and, for the second time, Barcelona, to meet with local and government authorities, the latest mile, police forces, defense forces and even representatives of delivery and postal services.
ETIOCA Holding has the support of the Government of Gibraltar, through the Minister for Economic Development, Sir Joe Bossano, who has included the ETIOCA project in the National Economic Development Plan for the next 5 years, with a total investment of 500,000,000 of pounds.
The business model, created by the ETIOCA board, foresees the centrality of financial services and technologies, to support each specific mobility project. 90,000 pre-reservations are currently under negotiation in Italy, Spain, Israel, Latvia, and to speed up production times, an agreement with an Italian strategic partner for the use of a production plant is in an advanced stage of negotiation.

THE ETIOCA INDUSTRIAL POLE
The Industrial Pole is made up of several factories for the production of its own vehicles and those ordered by associated companies or customers.
The Etioca “Miner” will be the first to be born from the “ANNA” generation, a platform based on a modular architecture that allows different vehicle configurations. In the near future, “Anna” will give life to a new range of service vehicles: taxis, work vehicles, school buses, emergency vehicles, security (fire and police) and defense. The Etioca Industrial Pole will be built in several locations, foreseeing a pilot plant (the final choice will be made in the coming months), an assembly plant, a production plant and a Gigafactory around which the supplier plants will also be built.

SERVICES
The Etioca ecosystem is also made up of a complete range of services to improve the travel experience for both the driver and passengers: electric charging stations (battery exchange), car wash stations, on-board food and drink sales and after-sales assistance.

USERNAME
The user is constantly connected to a dedicated and state-of-the-art APP, which allows passengers to book short and long-haul trips. The ETIOCA APP informs drivers about reservations and allows them to monitor the workflow. This tool allows taxi drivers to stay focused on their work, without stress, and to make as many trips as possible per day. With the income from the journeys, on-board services and advertising panels, with ETIOCA drivers they will be able to increase their business volume.

FINTECH
The financial platform of the Etioca Ecosystem is called ETIOCA FINTECH, for a circular and sustainable economy. It has an English DLT license that allows it to perform, among other financial services, the ETIOCA cryptocurrency mining process. ECO, the currency of Etioca, is generated with each kilometer traveled on the road. All economic transactions are managed through the ETIOCA Fintech system, allowing international bank transfers, financial loans, payments and collections from customers and business partners. The use of your own cryptocurrency guarantees the transparency of transactions and aims to increase stability and avoid any type of speculation. It is also possible to activate the cashback option by both the driver and the user.

MEDIA
The thousands of Etioca Taxis around the world will also represent an EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION CHANNEL. The integrated LED screens will project advertising and institutional campaigns or public service messages for citizens. Dynamic advertising panels with ETIOCA LED technology will be placed on the sides and above the vehicle. The new media channel will be managed in-house following Etioca’s recent acquisition of Between Comunicazione, a Turin-based public relations and advertising agency with more than 20 years of experience in business and product communication. “We started as suppliers – says Marco Molineri, CEO and co-founder of Between –, then we fell in love with the project and, without realizing it, we became partners of ETIOCA. The agency will plan advertising campaigns and global communication activities, as well as relations with the media and institutions.”

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF MINER
“Miner”, the first functional prototype of ETIOCA TAXI, promotes sustainable mobility, responding to the needs of citizens and municipal administrations, promoting the use of comfortable means of transport and preventing citizens from using their own car for short journeys. and medium distance. All this, with the consent of a new generation of taxi drivers who will no longer buy the vehicle, but will receive it ready for use and will only pay for the actual mileage traveled.
The driver’s position is isolated from the rest of the taxi, is fully equipped and guarantees high levels of safety and protection.
This vehicle is easily accessible, has no barriers and has seven modular seats for passengers, as well as one for people with reduced mobility, who can access the interior without help, using an automatic lifting platform. Also, “Miner” allows you to comfortably transport large leisure objects, such as bicycles, skis and snowboards. “Miner” moves with an electric motor that delivers a power of 120 kW (163 CV) and reaches a maximum speed limited to 150 km/h. It is 4.95 meters long, 1.95 meters wide and 2.01 meters high, with a 3.5-meter wheelbase and two-wheel drive.
The weight of the vehicle is close to two tons and, having a low center of gravity, it boasts comfortable driving and safe behavior on the road.
The vehicle is recharged thanks to the quick exchange of batteries at specific stations. The batteries, with a capacity of 100 KWh, guarantee a range of up to 350 kilometers (in WLTP urban cycle). Several configurations are offered for the batteries, with which ETIOCA wants to guide its customers towards the electrical transition without fear of anxiety due to lack of charge.
On board there are many other tools, including digital screens for managing services, a payment terminal, an on-board store, a minibar, chargers for all types of smartphones, and a real-time map.
Based on the latest knowledge about the pandemic, each vehicle will be automatically disinfected when all passengers have left the interior, using a mixed system of ultraviolet light and disinfectant spray. In addition to changing the batteries, the driver can also wash the vehicle daily at specific stations.
